As the 2008 Snap-on Stars of Karting season is closing upon us, we are also proud to update the progress of some of our drivers who are moving up the driver ladder in the U.S. Three drivers made news this week in testing and by signing to drive in various American auto racing series.
JDC/Skip Barber Star Mazda driver Joel Miller began his 2008 testing program in Sebring, FL in preparation for this weekend's race with a great foundation. After running in the top three for all sessions on Monday, Miller moved to position 1 on the time charts during Tuesday's practice, three tenths faster than his closest competitor.
Indeck-Cytomax driver Conor Daly made big news at Sebring as the young American tested in preparation for his assault on the 2008 Skip Barber National Series. Daly set a new lap record on the final lap of testing in the morning session Tuesday. Look for him to continue testing this week as Conor and the entire Skip Barber National Series prepare to contest round 1 in Sebring, FL.
Finally, Zach Beard made motorsports and marketing industry news by announcing that he will be contesting two races of the 2008 NHRA Top Fuel schedule. Beard will drive in a car sponsored by world famous Dunkin Donuts at races in Gainesville, FL on March 13-16 and Atlanta on April 24-27 of this year.
